MeterStack End User Licence Agreement

01Your licence

This is an agreement between you and Marya Labs for the MeterStack software. By installing or using MeterStack, you accept it.

We grant you a free, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use MeterStack on Macs that you own or control, for personal or commercial music production, with no time limit.

There is no charge, no licence key, no account, and no activation. If you want to support development you are welcome to, but nothing about this licence depends on it.

02What MeterStack is

MeterStack is an AU/VST3 metering and analysis plugin for macOS. It provides six analyser views — meters, stereo, oscilloscope, spectrum, waveform, and spectrograph — in one resizable workspace.

It is a measurement tool. It reads your audio and displays it; it does not process, alter, or improve the signal.

MeterStack is a separate product from DAWN. It has its own installer, and it is not bundled with, included in, or required by DAWN. Installing one does not install the other, and in the current release the two do not exchange data.

03What the licence does not allow

• Reselling, renting, sublicensing, or redistributing MeterStack.
• Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling it, except as the law expressly permits despite this restriction.
• Removing or altering copyright notices or branding.
• Presenting it as your own product, or bundling it into a commercial package without our written permission.

We reserve all rights not expressly granted. MeterStack is licensed, not sold.

04Data

MeterStack does not require an account and does not need an internet connection to work. Your audio is analysed on your machine and does not leave it.

MeterStack has its own in-plugin privacy and telemetry settings, reachable from its About panel. Please check those settings directly in the plugin — they are controlled there rather than by this agreement.

If you download MeterStack from our website, that download is recorded by the website as described in the Privacy Policy. That is a website matter, not something the plugin does.

05Warranty and liability

MeterStack is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not warrant that it will be error-free, that its measurements will be accurate for every purpose, or that it will work with any particular host or macOS version.

Do not rely on MeterStack alone for a delivery specification you are contractually bound to meet. Check against your delivery target’s own requirements.

Our liability is limited as set out in the Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability. We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not permit us to exclude. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are unaffected.

06General

This licence ends if you breach it materially, or when you uninstall MeterStack. We may update the terms for future releases; changes are not retrospective.

This licence is governed by the laws of England and Wales, with disputes dealt with by the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer outside the UK, this does not deprive you of mandatory protections where you live.
