Purchase and Refund Terms
We do not sell anything at the moment. DAWN’s beta is free and MeterStack is free, so there is nothing to refund. These terms are published in advance so that if we do start charging, you can see the terms before you are asked to agree to them.

01Nothing is currently for sale
If someone asks you to pay for DAWN or MeterStack, or offers you a licence key for them, it is not us. Please tell us at support@maryalabs.io.
The rest of this page sets out the terms that would apply if we introduce paid products. Publishing them now means you can read them without being mid-purchase.
02The costs you may actually incur
Although our software is free, using DAWN is not necessarily free, and this is the part most likely to cost you money.
DAWN uses your own account with an AI provider. That provider bills you directly according to your usage. An agent working through a long session can make many requests, and generation providers charge per output.
- We receive no share of what you spend and have no visibility of it.
- We cannot cap, predict, or refund it.
- Refunds for provider charges are a matter for that provider.
- Set your own spending limits in your provider account. Most support them, and it is worth doing before a long session.
03If we introduce paid products
These commitments apply to anything we may sell in future:
- The price, including VAT and what you get for it, will be shown clearly before you pay.
- No charge will be taken without you actively agreeing to it. You will not be enrolled in a paid plan automatically.
- You will not be charged retrospectively for a version you already downloaded under free terms.
- Any subscription will state its renewal date and price, and we will remind you before a renewal.
- You will be able to cancel a subscription without contacting us, and cancelling will not remove access already paid for.
04Your cancellation rights for digital content
If you buy from us as a consumer, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 give you a 14-day right to cancel, starting the day after you buy.
Digital content has an important qualification. If you ask for immediate download and acknowledge that you lose the cancellation right by doing so, that right ends once the download begins. We would present that as an explicit choice at checkout, not as a pre-ticked box, and we would confirm it to you in writing.
If you do not want to give up the cancellation right, you would be able to wait out the 14 days before downloading.
05Refunds
Separately from the cancellation right, and separately from any goodwill policy, you have statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described.
If it is not, you are entitled to a repair or replacement, and if that is not possible or does not fix the problem, to a price reduction which may be up to the full amount you paid. If our software damages your device or data because we failed to take reasonable care, you may be entitled to a repair or compensation.
These rights cannot be excluded, and any refund policy we publish would sit on top of them rather than replacing them.
What we would refund on request
- A purchase made by mistake, reported promptly.
- A duplicate purchase.
- Software that does not work on a supported configuration and that we cannot fix in reasonable time.
- A subscription renewal you did not intend, reported promptly after the charge.
What we would not normally refund is a product that works as described but is not what you hoped for — though we would still rather hear from you than not.
Refunds would be made to the original payment method within 14 days of accepting the request.
06How to make a claim
Email support@maryalabs.io with what you bought, when, and what went wrong. There is no form and no ticket system to navigate.
If you are a consumer and we cannot resolve a complaint between us, you may be able to use an alternative dispute resolution scheme, and you can also seek advice from Citizens Advice. Your right to go to court is unaffected.
